Jamaican online gambling becomes wireless?
24 Oct 2006
Jamaica has always been a little piece of the American online gambling industry, very little. The little country has some small and local online casinos, which are an extension of the real life physical casinos they operate there, and that’s about it. But now, with the law banning online casinos in the Unites States, the Jamaican online casinos have grown apart – and seek for new technology. The online casinos in Jamaica have signed a deal with a major entertainment and hotel company, that will enable those online casinos globally (especially to Canada and Europe, which is now were the big bucks are) and enable those online gambling to all the tourists in all Jamaican hotels.
The technology bought by the cooperative is a Las Vegas WI Fi tech, and it’s based on the global online gambling standard. It’s now brings the Jamaican online gambling community closer to the European leading system. In my opinion it’s only a matter of time until those companies will be purchased by a large European online gambling brand, which means huge income and investments for the Jamaican online casino industry. This technology, by the way, is a wireless internet source, which also enables the gamers to wager on their laptop – and not really needing the hotel’s computer.
The Canadian and UK’s online gambling major companies have already shown interest in the Jamaican rising technology and online casinos opportunities. Online gambling in the very travels and visited little reggae country is a major money source, and in the time of seeking new business possibilities due to US casinos collapsing – this could be another route filled.
